The 14th of September this year was a sad day for most fans of budding female rapper Wangechi as news spread fast about the horrific road accident that she had been involved in. The uncertainty that followed left many hearts and minds in distress. All we could do was pray. The tragic accident had claimed the life of Wangechi’s friend 19 year old Tiona, while Wangechi and another friend, Tewa, were left in critical condition in ICU.
As many shared the news on social media, the confusion that followed only served to fuel speculation and fear about Wangechi’s health. Some even claimed that the rapper had passed on. This information was however wrong and those close to the artiste were quick to deny the rumor. Yet what remained true was that Wangechi’s condition was critical. All that her fans could do was pray…pray for the almighty to intervene and preserve her life.
Those prayers were eventually answered. Just last week, Tewa was discharged from hospital and today it was Wangechi’s turn to leave hospital and continue her recovery from home. We the Mpasho Team share in the relief that her fans, friends and family feel. We thank God for her health and pray that the almighty grants her full recovery soon.
